At auction the private collection of Carlo and Mirella Panarello, until today jealously guarded in their suggestive residence located above the homonymous antiques gallery, on the top floor of the ancient building of Corso Umberto in Taormina. A reference point not only for art lovers but for the international jet set, this atelier was managed to Carlo Panarello together with his wife Mirella, Florentine by birth, cultured and refined woman, the Gallery also counted customers among Hollywood stars like, for example, Greta Garbo. In their home the couple had collected, in addition to many curiosities that characterized the eclecticism of their Gallery, ancient examples of sicilian folk art such as a collection of rare wicker pots and anthropomorphic vases, a series of majolica tureens and a beautiful collection of crowns in silver.
