wooden sphere covered in paper drawn in Indian ink and watercolor (some losses), supported by an iron gimbal support on an octagonal walnut base, decorated with polylobed brass studs, on eight flattened onion feet; within the cartouche it bears the inscription "Geohydro-graphic globe traced according to the latest information of the Cosmo-graphi, with every diligence drawn by Mattio Bontio in Venetia 1682"
