Fiamma Breschi: The Formula 1 Lady - I

Lot N. 204

E. FERRARI - F. BRESCHI

1958-1965
Outstanding and unique correspondence lot sent from Enzo Ferrari to Fiamma Breschi between September 2, 1858 and December 31, 1965 consisting of 142 letters and notes, most of them handwritten.

Fiamma Breschi fell into depression as a consequence of her boyfriend Luigi Musso’s tragic death. The Ferrari pilot passed away during a car race in France on July 6, 1958.

Enzo Ferrari began to write to her trying to make her react, starting in this way a deep long lasting friendship. Going through the correspondence you get in touch with an unknown Enzo Ferrari, without “ the iron mask he is compelled to wear everyday” (from the letter dated May 25, 1959), noteworthy and enthusiast writer (142)

Enclosed about 40 pages of F. Breschi hand-written notes about letters received from E. Ferrari.
