Maison Bibelot has always specialised in the management and auctioning of private estates, and its dedicated department has made it one of the most important auction houses for the sale of art collections in Italy.
The department, which boasts the organisation of important House Halls, is at the disposal of those who wish to offer at auction the entire furnishings of their residences and their own collections. The fascination of an exhibition organised on site is great, and memorable auctions such as that of Villa La Capponcina, a historic D'Annunzio residence on the slopes of Settignano, the Castle of Marignolle, the 15th-century Villa di Maggiano on the outskirts of Lucca, the antique furnishings and drawings of Villa Piatti, an ancient Florentine residence, and more recently the home of Maestro Pietro Annigoni, are testimony to this.
The Department carries out valuations for hereditary divisions and for insurance purposes.

Head of Department
Elisabetta Mignoni, a graduate in Modern History from the University of Florence, abandoned her university career in 1991 to devote herself to antiques at the Pitti Auction House, where she became passionate about the sector in her dual role as Head of the Antiques Department and auctioneer. In 1997, she founded Maison Bibelot. Passionate about history, especially of the Grand Duchy of Tuscany, she has numerous publications to her credit. For the past few years, she has collaborated with the Palazzo Spinelli Institute for Art and Restoration, where she holds several courses dedicated to the world of auctions. She is a consultant to the Court of Florence. In addition to art, she is passionate about sailing and dedicates much of her free time to this activity.
