Lot N. 305
Scuola fiorentina della fine del XVI secolo
Francesco Laparelli (?)
oil on canvas, framed, defects
cm 100x76
The following technical sheet of the work was created by Professor Sandro Bellesi as part of the inventory of the paintings of the Fattoria Franceschini. In a good state of conservation, the painting presents, within an environment with curtains and furniture, the figure of a man of about thirty holding in his hands a medal and a sheet of paper on which an architectural plan appears. On the basis of these accompanying "symbolic elements" it can be assumed, also due to the certified provenance of the work (Laparelli Pitti), that the person portrayed may be the architect Francesco Laparelli. The work, of fair stylistic quality, can be assigned to a Florentine painter, currently anonymous, active at the end of the sixteenth century, sensitive, in his works, to the language proposed in the school of Alessandro Allori.
