The following technical sheet of the work was created by Professor Sandro Bellesi as part of the inventory of the paintings of the Fattoria Franceschini. Inserted in a refined baroque frame with gold and black hues, the work is probably to be dated to a little after 1669, the time of the canonization of Saint Maria Maddalena de 'Pazzi, a venerated Florentine Carmelite nun. More interesting for the compositional design than for the pictorial drafting, the work shows stylistic references to the Cortonesque baroque currents, appreciated in Tuscany especially in the second half of the seventeenth century.
