In the second half of the eighteenth century, the Bolognese Carlo Barbieri, in a very lucky postal guide, organizes all the Italian itineraries by thickening them exclusively around the roads that lead to Bologna. A very lucky guide, of which there are at least twenty editions during the last thirty years of the eighteenth century.
