First edition of the collection commissioned by the Marquis Andrea Gerini who wanted to "“porre sotto gli occhi de’ curiosi riguardatori specialmente esteri, le vedute più nobili e vaghe della città di Firenze”. Dedicates to Maria Teresa of Austria engraved by Filippo Morghen from Zocchi, an allegorical front page engraved with a double page by Johann Gottfried Seitter by Giuseppe Magni. It includes 24 engravings on double page copper, with Roman numbering in the bottom right, performed by some of the most talented engravers of the time (Pfeffel, Muller, Gregori, Sgrilli, Pazzi, Franceschini, Vasi, Gabuggiani, Monaco, Papini, Corsi, Marieschi) on drawings by Giuseppe Zocchi. Beautiful impressions printed with evident contrast and brilliant inking on heavy virginated paper, with large margins. Mild blooms, small consolidation restorations. Beautiful full red leather binding with a frame of gold floral motif friezes on the boards and spine, with slight defects on the corners and spine. Golden cuts.
