Large porcelain vase pink family with turquoise background background
China, Qing dynasty, 18th century, Qianlong brand
Of extraordinary presence, the vase has elongated globular body and flared neck, entirely covered by a bright "turquoise" enamel. The surface is finely decorated with floral volutes and polychrome plant motifs in the pink family technique, distributed on a blue-green background. The body is marked by large rectangular reserves (Kaiguang), framed by geometric bands: inside, meticulous paintings of lotus flowers and aquatic leaves, rendered with great pictorial skill. Other reserves host poetic inscriptions in regular calligraphy with red seals. Stylized decorative bands embellish the neck, shoulder and foot
