XXX, 672 [i.e. 678], [2] p., 2 engraved plates, 1 of which is folded (Boccaccio's house and the poet's epitaph, which tradition says was pronounced by the poet himself on his deathbed). On the frontispiece, a chalcographic portrait of Boccaccio; on the back, a woodcut coat of arms of the dedicatee, Andrea Gerini. Figured initials, friezes and some woodcut seals. Half parchment binding with gold decorations and title on the spine. Fresh interior.
Added: Vita di Giovanni Boccacci scritta dal conte Gio. Batista Baldelli socio delle RR. Accademie Fiorentina, e dei Georgofili di Firenze, Firenze, Appresso Carli Ciardetti e comp., 1806. In-8° (220x150 mm). LII, 392 p., 5 plates, including a portrait on the frontispiece engraved by G. Calendi after a painting by Bronzino. Defects, foxing, redness, and small tears.
