Contemporary half-parchment binding with cartouche with the title Pinocchio on the front plate, partially detached and with mending. Some papers detached, browning, minimal damp stains, some tears in the internal margin of the papers, but far from the text. Complete example. First edition in book form and definitive draft of this famous fairy tale, an immortal masterpiece of children's literature, illustrated by Enrico Mazzanti in which the puppet received his first, true depiction, decisive for the iconography of the character.
