Maison Bibelot is delighted to present an exclusive auction dedicated to the extraordinary creations of Milanese designer Roberta Balsamo, a refined interpreter of ethno-chic, beloved and appreciated by the national and international jet set.
The catalogue brings together over one hundred jewelled bags - authentic, unique and unrepeatable pieces - inspired by exotic influences and made entirely by hand using antique Indian fabrics, Hindu miniatures, thangkas, zardozi embroidery, semi-precious stones and precious details. Each item was personally chosen by the designer during her travels to the bazaars of New Delhi, Calcutta and Istanbul, and the souks of Marrakech, where even the smallest object could be a source of inspiration for a new creation.
The selection is enriched by a refined range of clothing and home accessories, also designed by the designer, testimony to her unmistakable aesthetic vision.
The catalogue is completed by an important collection of oriental jewellery, necklaces, earrings, bracelets and accessories: all precious sources of inspiration for her creations and capable of transforming and making any outfit unique.
The proceeds from the auction were donated to the charity VIDAS ODV in memory of Roberta Balsamo.
