Swatch Mania: a private collection

The new timed-auction of Maison Bibelot presents a private collection of Swatch, one of the pop symbols during the Eighties.

This group consists of almost one hundred watches, from 1985 up to 1992, many of which represent some of the most famous collections, such as “Pop”, “Chrono”, “Automatic” e “Scuba”.

Not to be missed, some rare models designed by artists, such as those created by Alfred Hofkunst for Swatch in 1991 and which are representative for Pop Art. Collectors will also be attracted by three Swatch designed by Massimo Giacomo during the Nineties: Gulp!!!, Chicchirichi, e Meeoow, as well as by four numbered watches created by Swiss artists for the 700 years Helvetic Confederation.

We would also like to highlight the extremely rare 1985 Jelly Fish, a transparent watch manufactured since 1983, when the Swiss brand was founded.
