The lawyer Mauro Bendinelli, a great lover of art, created a personal collection together with his wife Marisa, professional restorer, and transmitted his great passion to their six children.
He was above all a patron, and his particular attention to abstract art and industrial art led him to collect works of many emerging artists that he had met in the Florentine artistic environment; moreover, at a time when art merchants were knocking directly at the studios of professionals to offer possible investments.
The Bendinelli couple’s passion for modern art led them to know personally and frequent illustrious names such as Moses Levy, Giuliano Pini, Sergio Scatizzi and Pietro Annigoni. The collection now proposed includes works that trace the entire twentieth century, in a continuous dialogue between past, present and future.
